Osso & Bottone by Ronan Bouroullec for Mutina
The Osso & Bottone pieces range from playful cutways to contoured edges.
The Italian brand, Mutina, has collaborated with French designer, Ronan Bouroullec on its first outdoor collection.
On show in the garden of Spazio Cernaia, the Osso & Bottone pieces have different ranges including playful cutways and contoured edges. In as much as the collection is intended specifically for outdoor use and environment, it also works for indoor use perfectly.
The Otto & Bottone collection represents a significant innovation in ceramic usage and versatility. In Ronan Bouroullec’s words, Otto & Bottone is a collection that consists of modules of rectangular tiles sculpted with edge cuts that create large voids, revealing patterns through the joints.
The shapes accommodate stucco in their missing parts and create colored geometrics that make the composition dynamic, thanks to the work of light and shadow. Â
